Batyl Alcohol is not a conventional emollient lipid; it is a distinctive lipid with the potential to modulate membrane architecture.

Keywords: Ether Lipid · Membrane Architecture · Lipid Organization

06 · WHY BATYL ALCOHOL

Why Choose Batyl Alcohol?

Conventional Lipid Batyl Alcohol: Distinctive Ether Lipid
Provides an emollient skin feel; its effect remains at the sensory-modification level and does not participate in building the barrier-lipid structure. 1. Lipid organization2. Membrane stabilization3. Biomimetic lipid-environment construction

Core value: connecting natural membrane-lipid science with modern delivery technology.

07 · TECHNOLOGY ARCHITECTURE

How the NanoActive™ BatyCer™ Technology Is Built

Step 1: Lipid Composition

Batyl Alcoholether-lipid anchor → Ceramide NP → Cholesterol → Phospholipid → Stearic Acid

Step 2: Matrix Construction and Nano Delivery

Biomimetic Stratum-CorneumLipid Matrix → PURISOME® LiposomeDelivery System → Skin BarrierLipid Platform

Using Batyl Alcohol as the distinctive ether-lipid anchor, four classic barrier lipids are combined to build a biomimetic lipid matrix. The matrix is then delivered through the PURISOME® liposome system, forming a complete skin-barrier lipid platform.

08 · PURISOME® DELIVERY

02 Mimics natural membrane architecture: a phospholipid-bilayer structure homologous to biological membranes
03 Improves lipid dispersion stability: addresses formulation challenges associated with high-melting-point lipids
04 Optimizes the application value of actives: enables lipid actives to be incorporated into formulations in a more favorable state

Scientific Logic

Lipid Active → Nano Encapsulation → Enhanced Delivery

09 · BIOMIMETIC MECHANISM

Formation of the Biomimetic Lipid Matrix

Natural Stratum Corneum NanoActive™ BatyCer™
CeramideCholesterolFatty acid Batyl Alcohol (ether lipid)Ceramide NPCholesterolPhospholipidStearic Acid
The natural barrier-lipid combination provides the structural blueprint for biomimetic design. A five-component biomimetic lipid combination strengthens the natural lipid paradigm with a distinctive ether lipid.

NanoActive™ BatyCer™ mimics the natural lipid environment, using the lipid composition of the natural stratum corneum as a blueprint to reconstruct the structural order of a biomimetic lipid matrix.

10 · REPAIR MECHANISM

Four Mechanisms of Skin-Barrier Repair

01 Lipid Replenishment: supplies key lipid structural units required by the stratum corneum
02 Lipid Organization: supports ordered lamellar organization of intercellular lipids
03 Moisture Retention: a complete lipid matrix helps reduce transepidermal water loss
04 Skin Comfort: improves tightness and discomfort associated with dryness and roughness

The four mechanisms work together across the complete “replenish—organize—retain—comfort” pathway, intervening at the lipid-structure level rather than merely modifying surface feel.

11 · BEYOND HYDRATION

Beyond Hydration: From Hydration to Barrier Restoration

Conventional Hydration Barrier Lipid Care
Raises surface water content; the effect is concentrated in the upper stratum corneum and diminishes as water evaporates. Improves lipid architecture by rebuilding order in the intercellular lipid matrix.
Hydration is the starting point of barrier care, but it cannot replace improvement of the lipid structure. Reduces water loss because an intact lipid layer limits water escape.
— Improves long-term comfort as barrier homeostasis supports lasting comfort.

Moving from a temporary increase in water content to structural improvement of the barrier.

12 · CERAMIDE SCIENCE

The Scientific Value of Ceramide NP

01 A core stratum-corneum lipid: ceramides are the most abundant lipid class in the intercellular lipid matrix
02 Maintains barrier integrity: supports the lamellar organization of intercellular lipids and continuity of the barrier structure
03 Supports skin softness: adequate ceramide levels are directly associated with a soft and supple skin feel

Research indicates that a properly designed ceramide-delivery system can promote restoration of the skin-lipid structure.

Ceramide NP Structure

Ceramide NP consists of a sphingoid base linked to a fatty-acid chain through an amide bond. Its two long chains naturally suit the lamellar organization of intercellular lipids. In the BatyCer™ system, Ceramide NP works with Batyl Alcohol, cholesterol, phospholipid, and stearic acid to build a biomimetic lipid matrix.

Fatty Acid Chain → Amide Bond → Sphingoid Base

Reference: Coderch L, et al. Ceramides and Skin Function. American Journal of Clinical Dermatology.

13 · NANO DELIVERY VALUE

Nano Delivery Enhances the Application Value of Lipids

Traditional Route

Ceramide Raw Material → Dispersion Challenge

Ceramides have a high melting point and poor water solubility. Direct addition to a formula can cause crystallization and uneven dispersion, limiting the formulation window.

NanoActive™ Liposome Route

Ceramide NP → Liposome Encapsulation → Uniform Lipid Environment

PURISOME® liposomes encapsulate ceramides and other barrier lipids within a biomimetic phospholipid bilayer, creating a uniform and stable lipid-dispersion system in the formula and allowing barrier lipids to enter the development process in a more formulation-friendly form.

14 · EFFICACY MATRIX

Skincare Efficacy Matrix

Core Efficacy Applications
Barrier Strengthening Barrier Repair Cream
Deep Moisturization Barrier Serum
Skin Conditioning Sensitive Skin Care
Dryness Improvement Mature Skin Care
Skin Comfort Product-development scenarios addressing barrier damage, dryness, and roughness

15 · MATURE SKIN CARE

A Lipid-Care Direction for Mature Skin

Scientific Logic

Aging → Lipid Profile Shift → Barrier Decline → Dryness & Roughness

Barrier changes in mature skin are fundamentally changes in lipid composition and architecture—precisely where lipid care can intervene.

NanoActive™ BatyCer™ supports lipid care for mature skin by replenishing age-related lipid structural units through a biomimetic lipid matrix and pairing them with nano delivery to improve the application experience.

Keywords: Mature Skin · Lipid Replenishment · Barrier Care · Comfort

16 · SCALP SCIENCE

Scalp Barrier Science

The scalp is an extension of facial skin and likewise depends on an intact barrier system to maintain a healthy condition and comfortable feel.

01 Stratum-corneum structure: the scalp surface also contains corneocytes and intercellular lipids
02 Lipid barrier: the lipid matrix maintains the integrity and stability of the scalp barrier
03 Moisture-regulation system: scalp moisture balance is closely linked to the state of barrier lipids

Application Direction: Scalp Barrier Care—the extension of barrier-lipid science into scalp applications.

The scalp barrier shares its lipid environment with facial skin, so the biomimetic lipid-care logic can be transferred directly to scalp-care products.

17 · HAIR CARE VALUE

Value in Hair-Care Applications

Action Path

PARADIGM SHIFT

Moisturization Is More Than Adding Water

Skin hydration is an ecosystem function.

Traditional moisturization focuses on humectants, occlusives, and emollients. Modern skin science shows that skin hydration is an ecosystem function created by multiple interacting factors.

SIX KEY FACTORS

Lipid architecture; natural moisturizing factor (NMF); tight junctions; water transport; the acid mantle; and the skin microbiome.

A MUTUALLY SUPPORTIVE LOOP

Healthy microbiome ↕ healthy barrier ↕ healthy hydration

The three dimensions reinforce one another. An imbalance in any one dimension can propagate through the whole system—this is the scientific basis of “ecosystem hydration.”

MICROBIOME × BARRIER

Microbiome & Barrier: A Bidirectional Symbiotic Defense Network

DEFENSE PATHWAY

Microbial barrier → acid mantle → metabolites/innate signals → keratinocyte differentiation → tight junctions → ceramide lipid barrier

TEWL ↓ · HYDRATION ↑

Lower transepidermal water loss and improved skin hydration

Healthy commensal microorganisms help build four layers of defense:

PHYSICAL

Commensals occupy ecological niches and reinforce the integrity of surface defenses.

CHEMICAL

Metabolism produces organic acids that help maintain the acid mantle.

MICROBIAL

Competition for nutrients and adhesion sites limits the dominance of opportunistic microbes.

IMMUNE

Contributes to homeostatic regulation of innate and adaptive immune signaling.

Healthy commensals do more than simply exist on the skin surface; they actively participate in the skin’s defense network.

LACTITOL

Lactitol | Selective Prebiotic Logic from Sugar Science

IDENTITY

Lactitol is a lactose-derived disaccharide polyol. Its value is not limited to humectancy; it lies in the prebiotic potential created by selective fermentation.

Feed the beneficial ecosystem, rather than simply feeding everything.

SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE

Pure-culture screening compared how broadly different candidate prebiotic substrates were used by microorganisms:

  • Lactitol was used with high specificity by Lactobacillus-related strains;
  • Common substrates such as galacto-oligosaccharides and fructo-oligosaccharides were used by a broader range of microorganisms;
  • The study reported that this degree of selectivity had not been observed among previously established prebiotics.

This selective utilization profile makes lactitol an ideal sugar-based nutritional substrate for targeted support of beneficial microbiota.

In-vitro pure-culture evidence for lactitol’s prebiotic mechanism supports its selective nourishment rationale.

SELECTIVE ECOLOGY

Lactitol + Xylitol: Selective Skin Ecology

Selective polyol ecology—not “killing microbes,” but shaping ecological selection.

ECOLOGICAL SELECTION

The polyol combination provides selectively utilized nutritional substrates.

SUPPORT HEALTHY RESIDENT MICROBIOTA

Resident commensals gain a nutritional advantage.

LIMIT OPPORTUNISTIC DOMINANCE

Helps restore a more stable skin ecosystem.

In-vitro evidence

30–50%

In-vitro inhibition of growth for selected opportunistic microorganisms by the polyol system

≈100%

Increase in growth for selected healthy resident skin microorganisms

Suppress opportunistic advantage while supporting resident commensals—this is the essential difference between ecological selection and broad-spectrum antimicrobial strategies.

ACID MANTLE

Supporting the Skin’s Acidic Ecosystem

The skin’s acidic environment is both a chemical barrier and a driver of microbial selection. A cleansing-induced rise in pH temporarily disrupts this balance; a polyol ecosystem-support system can help the skin return more quickly to its physiological acidic state.

Human study: 2% lactitol + 2% xylitol system

TIMELINE

Washing → pH rises and the acid mantle is temporarily disrupted → polyol ecosystem support → faster return to physiological acidic pH

4–6 h

Typical time required for the cleansing-induced pH rise to return to baseline

≈3 h

Recovery time after use of the polyol system (p < 0.05), with a more favorable microbial composition also observed

XAX SYSTEM

XAX | From Humectancy to Hydration Biology

XAX = Xylitylglucoside + Anhydroxylitol + Xylitol. It is not an ordinary sugar-based humectant, but a hydration system acting simultaneously on three biological axes:

AXIS 01 · WATER RESERVOIR

Enhances water-reserve systems such as hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate, building an internal skin “reservoir.”

AXIS 02 · BARRIER LIPIDS

Promotes ceramide-related synthesis and optimization of the lipid barrier, reducing water loss at its source.

AXIS 03 · WATER CIRCULATION

Modulates mechanisms related to tight junctions and epidermal water transport, enabling orderly movement of water through the skin.

Reservoir + lipids + circulation: from “holding water” to “managing water”—XAX forms the biological hydration backbone of GalaBiome™.

Reference: Garcia C, et al. Asian J Beauty Cosmetol. 2023;21(1):13-27. doi:10.20402/ajbc.2022.0051.

NanoActive™ GalaBiome™ · PuriPharm Co. Ltd.

CERAMIDE BIOLOGY

Reshaping the Lipid Logic of the Stratum Corneum

BRICK & MORTAR MODEL

Corneocytes are the “bricks,” while intercellular lipids such as ceramides form the “mortar.”

MECHANISM

XAX → de novo ceramide synthesis ↑ + cholesterol synthesis pathway (HMGCR-related) ↑ → more orderly intercellular lipid matrix → barrier strength ↑ → TEWL ↓

In-vitro evidence · De novo ceramide synthesis

Human skin explant model: 3% XAX versus untreated control (P < 0.05); differences for placebo and glycerol were not statistically significant (ns). Barrier improvement consistent with reduced TEWL was also observed.

Reference: Garcia C, Valin E, Hernandez E, Kern C, Roso A. Asian J Beauty Cosmetol. 2023;21(1):13-27. doi:10.20402/ajbc.2022.0051.

NanoActive™ GalaBiome™ · PuriPharm Co. Ltd.

WATER RESERVOIR

Building an Internal Water Reservoir in the Skin

MECHANISM

XAX → acts on fibroblasts and keratinocytes → hyaluronic acid (HA) ↑ + chondroitin sulfate (CS) ↑ → extracellular-matrix water-binding capacity ↑ → expansion of the skin’s internal water reservoir

Hyaluronic acid and chondroitin sulfate are core glycosaminoglycans in dermal–epidermal water reserves and determine the skin’s water-storage capacity.

Cell model · Dose-dependent stimulation of chondroitin sulfate synthesis

In-vitro cultured human skin fibroblasts; mechanistic cell-model data. Differences in the two higher-concentration groups were statistically significant (P < 0.05). XAX also increased hyaluronic acid production in the cell model.

NanoActive™ GalaBiome™ · PuriPharm Co. Ltd.

WATER CIRCULATION

Hydration Is a Dynamic Flow

Hydration is not simply the static act of “holding water.”

HYDRATION FLOW

Reservoir → transport → retention → controlled loss

WATER FLOW PATHWAY

Dermis → epidermis · tight junctions → stratum corneum

XAX-REGULATED GENES

CGN (cingulin); CLDN-4/CLDN-5/CLDN-7 (claudins); and multiple genes related to epidermal differentiation, keratinization, and tight junctions.

Evidence derives from a gene-expression study in a 3D reconstructed epidermis model.

Water reservoir + water circulation + barrier retention—this is the scientific narrative that differentiates GalaBiome™ from a simple humectant.

Reference: Garcia C, Valin E, Hernandez E, Kern C, Roso A. Asian J Beauty Cosmetol. 2023;21(1):13-27. doi:10.20402/ajbc.2022.0051.

HUMAN EVIDENCE

Long-Lasting Hydration Beyond the Moment of Application

Human study: 25 female volunteers with dry skin used 3% XAX for 30 days. Benefits progressed over time, moving from immediate hydration toward structural improvement.

8 HOURS

Corneometry +6% and TEWL −8%—an immediately visible hydration response.

DAY 15

Hydration benefits remained stable while barrier indicators continued to improve.

DAY 30

Corneometry +11% and TEWL −15%—a transition from water replenishment to barrier-structure improvement.

Corneometry reflects stratum-corneum hydration, while TEWL was measured by evaporimetry. The same study also observed approximately 33% improvement in skin micro-roughness and approximately 25% improvement in desquamation.

Human research on XAX validates its multi-pathway hydration and barrier mechanisms—GalaBiome™ integrates them into a unified ecosystem platform.

PuriActives® SupraFerulix™

Ferulic Acid, Reimagined:Meet PuriActives® SupraFerulix™

A supramolecular ferulic acid active for antioxidant, brightening & skin-comfort formulations.

Antioxidant protection is no longer a premium add-on — it is the new baseline.

Skincare has entered the antioxidant era. Consumers increasingly expect daily defense against oxidative stress from UV exposure, urban pollution and the visible signs of photoaging — while also asking for brighter-looking skin, sensitive-skin compatibility and microbiome-friendly care. The challenge for formulators is no longer whether to use an antioxidant, but how to deliver antioxidant performance with greater formulation flexibility and a more elegant skin experience.

01 · THE HERO MOLECULE

Why Ferulic Acid Still Matters

A classic antioxidant with enduring relevance in modern dermocosmetic and prestige skincare.

Ferulic acid · 4-hydroxy-3-methoxycinnamic acid · C10H10O4

Ferulic acid is a well-recognized plant-derived phenolic antioxidant valued for oxidative stress protection, photoaging care and radiance support. It is also known for complementing vitamin C / E antioxidant systems — one reason it remains a familiar ingredient in prestige antioxidant formulas.

Antioxidant profileHelps protect skin from environmental oxidative stress. Photoaging careSupports skin exposed to UV and environmental stress.
Radiance supportHelps improve the look of dull, tired-looking skin. Antioxidant synergyKnown for complementing vitamin C / E systems.

02 · THE FORMULATION PARADOX

Powerful, but Demanding

Conventional ferulic acid can make high-performance formulation unnecessarily difficult.

The molecule is compelling. The formulation experience can be less so. Conventional ferulic acid systems may face stability concerns, compatibility limitations, solubility and dispersibility challenges, sensory trade-offs and restricted formulation flexibility. Oxidation-driven color change, formula-environment sensitivity, uneven incorporation, and odor or color impact can all compromise the elegance of a finished product.

The market needs ferulic acid that is easier to formulate — and kinder to skin.

03 · THE PURIPHARM SOLUTION

Not Just an Ingredient. A Smart Active System.

Supramolecular association — designed, not simply mixed.

PuriActives® SupraFerulix™ · supramolecular ferulic acid active

PuriActives® SupraFerulix™ combines ferulic acid with zinc glycinate, xyloglucan and alpha-glucan oligosaccharide in a supramolecular design engineered for formulation flexibility and skin comfort.

FA Ferulic AcidAntioxidant, anti-photoaging and radiance support — the hero of the system.
ZG Zinc GlycinateSkin comfort, oil-prone skin support and soothing positioning.
XG XyloglucanBio-polymer film-forming, barrier support and a hydration-friendly skin feel.
AGO Alpha-Glucan OligosaccharidePrebiotic-inspired microbiome balance and sensitive-skin care positioning.

04 · SUPRAMOLECULAR DESIGN

A Protective Matrix, Built Around the Active

Four components work together through non-covalent supramolecular interactions.

Rather than treating ferulic acid as a stand-alone molecule, SupraFerulix™ places it within a supportive matrix. The design concept is intended to create a more formulation-friendly environment around the active, while integrating comfort-, barrier- and microbiome-oriented components into the same system.

Non-Covalent AssociationComponents work together through supramolecular interactions, not simple mixing. A Protective EnvironmentThe supportive matrix positions ferulic acid for more formulation-friendly use.
Comfort-Oriented DesignBuilt for gentle, high-performance daily skincare concepts. One Synergistic SystemAntioxidant performance is paired with comfort, barrier and microbiome positioning.

06 · COMPONENT SPOTLIGHT

Four Roles, One Formula Story

Ferulic Acid is the hero antioxidant: it supports environmental stress defense, radiance and visible photoaging care, while complementing vitamin C / E systems.

Zinc Glycinate brings a mild zinc–amino acid complex into the system, supporting skin-comfort, soothing, sensitive-skin and oil-prone skin positioning.

Xyloglucan is the bio-polymer element. It forms a soft, breathable film, supports moisture retention and barrier function, and contributes to an elegant hydrated skin feel.

Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide adds a prebiotic-inspired angle, supporting microbiome-friendly, balance-focused and gentle daily-care concepts.

CHAPTER 01 · INSIGHT Hydration, the First Principle of Skincare Among all skincare claims, hydration is the most fundamental — and the least perfectly solved. Water must not only be delivered, but retained.
01 · INSIGHT
Why Traditional Humectants Never Truly Stay
① Glycerin & Polyols Passive hygroscopicity depends on ambient humidity and drops sharply in dry air; higher doses turn sticky while water still escapes fast.
② Hyaluronic Acid High-MW molecules sit on the surface forming a film rather than penetrating the stratum corneum — largely removed by a single wash.
③ Ordinary Sugar Humectants Lacking skin affinity, they merely rest on the surface; in rinse-off formats they are flushed away almost completely.
The market needs not more water — but water that stays.HYDRATION THAT STAYS, NOT JUST HYDRATION

CHAPTER 02 · SCIENCE It Clings to Skin, Like a Magnet A unique binding mechanism turns hydration from a surface act into deep retention — bind, retain, stay: a three-step loop of lasting moisturization.
02 · MECHANISM
Magnet-Like Binding: A Three-Step Loop
01 · Magnetic Binding · BIND The sugar complex forms hydrogen bonds with the ε-amino groups of lysine in keratin, anchoring itself into skin rather than sitting on it.
02 · Water Reservoir · RESERVOIR Bound sugars continuously attract and lock in water, building a lasting moisture reservoir within the stratum corneum — instant and deep.
03 · Long-Term Stay · STAY The bond cannot be washed off; it is removed only by natural desquamation, keeping skin hydrated for 72 hours and beyond.
CANNOT BE WASHED OFF — REMOVED ONLY BY NATURAL DESQUAMATION
02 · EFFICACY
72 Hours of Deep, Long-Lasting Hydration
72h LONG-LASTING DEEP HYDRATION A single application creates a moisture reservoir for instant, deep hydration that persists for 72 hours — even through daily cleansing routines.
3h:Instant boost on extra-dry areas Perceptible hydration of the driest facial zones within 3 hours
28d:True hydration across all facial areas Daily use steadily improves hydration of every facial zone over 28 days
+275%:Skin moisture increase after one use In-vivo body-lotion study: +275% skin moisture after a single application
75%:Softer skin, no tightness — self-assessed 0.2–0.5% shower gel, skin still hydrated after 7 days of frequent washing

Beyond Hydration: Barrier Repair & Soothing
50%+Smoother Clinical scoring shows over 50% improvement in smoothness and softness after only 2 weeks, with flakiness and itch reduced by more than half.
2×:Faster barrier recovery vs control In-vivo study: more than 2× the barrier repair rate, 24 hours ahead of a leading benchmark
2×:Redness relief 2× the benchmark Significant soothing of dryness-induced redness and sensitivity — ideal for sensitive-skin formulas
24h:24-hour soothing for body skin Relieves dryness from frequent washing, sanitizers and daily cleansing stress
Strengthening the skin’s own defense, cutting water loss at the source — this is what moisture retention truly means.

Activating Skin’s Own Hydration Program

PuriActives® Ceramide E

PuriActives® Ceramide E

The Advanced Pseudo-Ceramide Solution for Superior Skin Barrier Repair

PuriPharm Co. Ltd.

The Ceramide Challenge

Understanding the vital role of ceramides and the complex limitations of natural extraction in modern cosmetics.

The “Brick and Mortar” Model

The Epidermal Barrier
Ceramides account for over 50% of the stratum corneum lipids, acting as the essential ‘mortar’ holding the cellular ‘bricks’ together.

Moisture Retention
They uniquely form a structured lamellar network that powerfully binds water, actively preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

Depletion Factors
Age, harsh chemicals, and environmental stressors rapidly deplete natural ceramides, inevitably leading to dryness, flaking, and irritation.

Natural Ceramide Limits

Natural ceramides are incredibly difficult and expensive to extract from plant or animal sources.

They exhibit notoriously poor solubility in both water and standard cosmetic oils.

Extremely high melting points (often over 90°C) make them challenging to formulate into stable emulsions.

Consequently, cosmetic formulators are often forced to use low, ineffective concentrations to prevent crystallization in the final product.

Introducing Ceramide E

A scientifically engineered, highly stable synthetic pseudo-ceramide developed by PuriPharm.

What is Ceramide E?

Scientific Profile
INCI: Cetyl-PG Hydroxyethyl Palmitamide.

It is a meticulously lab-created synthetic pseudo-ceramide designed to perfectly mimic the complex molecular structure and barrier function of natural epidermal sphingolipids.

The PuriActives® Advantage
It completely overcomes the formulation hurdles of natural ceramides. Ceramide E delivers identical barrier repair, profound hydration, and anti-inflammatory properties while remaining highly stable, safe, and cost-effective for modern skincare.

Replicating Nature

50% of Stratum Corneum Lipids

Biomimetic Structural Integrity

PuriActives® Ceramide E perfectly integrates into the skin’s natural lipid matrix. It acts as an identical substitute for the natural ceramides that naturally comprise half of your skin’s protective outer layer, ensuring long-lasting defense against environmental aggressors.

Mechanism of Action

Restoring the Lamellar Network

Ceramide E easily penetrates the upper layers of the epidermis, integrating directly into the compromised lipid matrix. It rapidly forms highly organized lamellar structures, effectively replacing lost intercellular “mortar”. This actively restores the structural integrity of the stratum corneum, locking in essential moisture while blocking external irritants.

Clinical Efficacies

Proven, measurable results in long-term skin hydration, structural protection, and barrier repair.

Core Skincare Benefits

Deep Hydration:
Massively enhances the skin’s capacity to retain moisture at a cellular level, dramatically improving overall elasticity, softness, and suppleness over continuous use.

Barrier Repair:
Actively replenishes the crucial lipid layer, effectively sealing microscopic epidermal cracks to stop transepidermal water loss (TEWL).

Soothing & Anti-Irritant:
Significantly reduces redness, flaking, and severe inflammation, making it highly recommended for sensitive, reactive, or eczema-prone skin types.

Anti-Aging Support:
Reinforces skin firmness and visibly minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by maintaining optimal structural hydration and tissue resilience.

TEWL Reduction

Clinical applications demonstrate a dose-dependent, significant reduction in Transepidermal Water Loss (TEWL) compared to standard humectants, indicating a vastly fortified skin barrier.

24-Hour Hydration Trend

Unlike traditional humectants offering temporary relief, Ceramide E structurally locks in moisture, maintaining a significantly higher skin hydration index across a full 24-hour cycle.

Targeted Skin Conditions

Dry & Winter Skin
Eliminates flakiness and severe dryness by artificially rebuilding the compromised moisture barrier against harsh elements.

Sensitive & Atopic
Provides exceptional soothing relief for irritation, redness, and biologically compromised skin conditions like eczema.

Mature & Aging Skin
Combats the natural age-related decline of ceramide production, effectively restoring youthful firmness and tissue density.

Formulation Superiority

Formulators highly prefer PuriActives® Ceramide E as it completely bypasses the instability and crystallization risks of natural ceramides.

As a high-purity synthetic pseudo-ceramide, it offers exceptional batch consistency, prolonged shelf life, and effortless integration into complex cosmetic emulsions without degrading other actives.

Formulation & Applications

Technical guidelines and product versatility for cosmetic integration.

Versatile Applications

Facial Care
Essential for intensive barrier repair creams, high-end anti-aging serums, toners, and sensitive skin daily moisturizers.

Body Care
Highly effective in therapeutic body lotions, eczema-relief ointments, foot repair treatments, and winter care formulations.

Scalp & Hair
Excellent for anti-dandruff treatments, scalp soothing tonics, and deep conditioning hair masks to repair cuticle damage.

The Future of Barrier Care

“Synthetic pseudo-ceramides represent a critical breakthrough, delivering the profound barrier-repairing power of natural sphingolipids with unprecedented formulation stability.”

— Dermatological Research Perspectives

Formulation Process

1. Dispersion
Disperse the Ceramide E powder directly into the formulation’s designated oil phase.

2. Melting
Heat the entire oil phase to approximately 80°C to ensure complete dissolution.

3. Emulsion
Combine with the heated aqueous phase under high shear to form a stable emulsion.

4. Cooling
Cool the batch below 40°C before adding any heat-sensitive cosmetic actives.
